Choose a qualifying residence route
Being in Dubai on a visit visa does not, by itself, establish eligibility for residence. Explain whether your plan involves an employer, freelancing, a business or family sponsorship. Ask which permission and sponsor arrangement applies. A residence enquiry should begin with the qualifying route rather than an assumption that every visitor can simply convert a visa.
Check your current status and dates
Provide your current entry category, expiry date and whether any previous residence remains active. Ask the appropriate authority or provider to confirm the required sequence for your case, including whether in-country status adjustment is available and any related charges. Do not infer permission to remain from a submitted enquiry or an informal promise.
Separate the application stages
Ask for a written outline covering initial permission, any required status adjustment, medical fitness, Emirates ID and residence issuance. Identify who handles each stage and what proof of completion you receive. Avoid booking travel or cancelling an existing arrangement based only on an estimated processing time.
Prepare a focused WhatsApp message
Send your nationality, current location, visa category, expiry date and intended employment, freelance or sponsorship route. Ask Dubai Visa to clarify the steps, documents, costs and exclusions. Do not begin work merely because a residence discussion is underway; confirm the required work authorisation with the appropriate authority or sponsor.
